Ex-president says Iran not seeking "unconventional weapons"

 
     
 

    Tehran, Jan 6, IRNA -- Iran's former president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who currently heads the arbitrative Expediency Council (EC) said here Sunday that the Islamic Republic is not seeking to acquire "unconventional weapons."

   
 

     "Although the Islamic Republic of Iran today is one of the important powers in the world's arms industry, but it has never been after acquiring unconventional weapons and will never be," he said at a forum held at Headquarters of the Joint Staff of the Army.
