Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and his British
counterpart Jack Straw, in a telephone conversation on Wednesday evening, discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the massacre conducted by the Zionist regime in occupied territories, the Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Department announced on Thursday.

Kharrazi expressed his indignation at the aggression of the Zionist regime against the innocent and defenseless people of Palestine, especially children, noting the violence will further deepen the crisis.
He said the Palestinians have the right to defend themselves against Zionist aggressions.
Iran's foreign minister reiterated that the US stand on the Palestinian crisis proved the country is practically a protector of the Israeli regime, noting this would create a split between Muslim countries and the West.
He urged the European Union (EU) to play a more active role to force the Zionists to stop its aggression in the occupied territories.
Straw, for his part, appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran for its attention to the Palestinian crisis.
He emphasized on the need to exchange views with Tehran on the
Palestinian crisis.
