Patriarch Bartholomew cited the holy books calling for co-existence of human beings and called for dialogue and brotherly relations among different nations to promote peace and progress in the human community.
The Istanbul-based Orthodox Christian leader underlined the need to hold civilizational dialogue and said that all the spiritual and cultural leaders are expected to cooperate in this respect.
Minister of Culture and the Islamic Guidance Ahmad Masjed Jamei and head of the Islamic Communication Organization Mohammadi Araqi were also present in the meeting.
