Supreme Leader pardons 376 convicts |

Tehran, May 29 - The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei here Wednesday on the recommendation of the Judiciary Chief Mahmoud Shahroudi pardoned or commuted the sentences of some 376 convicts. Shahroudi had forwarded the names of some 376 convicts of public, revolutionary and military courts as well as the special court of the clergy eligible for pardon. The judiciary chief had asked the Leader to use his authority asset in the paragraph 11 of article 110 of the constitution to pardon the convicts on the eve of the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad(PBUH), May 30. |
