Tehran, July 29, IRNA -- Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi here on Monday described his negotiation with visiting European Union Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana as "positive'.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Solana, Kharrazi said that during the meeting both sides had discussed regional issues, Iran-EU trade and economic agreements as well as anti-terrorism campaign.
"Holding more meetings in this respect is very essential for Iran, as an important country in the region, and for the EU, as a grouping playing a remarkable role on international scene," he added.
Solana expressed satisfaction with his presence in Iran and noted that the EU is determined to broaden its ties with Tehran.
"The EU-Iran cooperation should broaden in both economic and political areas," he said.
