Tehran, Oct 27, IRNA -- A delegation composed of British MPs is to arrive in Tehran on Monday morning for a four-day visit, a press communique from the British Embassy here said on Sunday.
The visit is in response to an invitation of Dr. Fatemeh Khatami, a member of the Iranian parliament, and is a follow-up to the visit of a Majlis delegation to London in May 2002.
The visit aims to increase understanding between both parliaments, in particular, between the women parliamentarians of both countries.
Human rights, including women's issues, will be among the topics the two sides will discuss. The delegation is led by MP Phyllis Starkey.
