       Kuala Lumpur, July 23, IRNA -- President Mohammad Khatami said here on Tuesday that Iranian women despite their high talents have been subject to injustices throughout history.
       President Khatami said in a meeting with a group of Iranians residing in Malaysia that Iranian women have shown their talents whenever they had the chance to do so but a lot still has to be done to restore their rights.
       Khatami said knowledge, awareness, piety and chastity are the most important and distinctive characteristics of Iranian women. 
       He said Iranians residing in Malaysia are representatives of the Iranian nation.
       President Khatami will wind up his four-day visit to Malaysia on Wednesday.
       Iran and Malaysia signed six protocols on Monday to economic, tourism and technological cooperation.
