Tehran, May 19, IRNA -- Afghan Finance Minister Amin Arsala conferred here on Sunday with First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref on the reconstruction process in Afghanistan.
At the meeting, Aref called for serious and speedy measures by international bodies in the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
He said regional and international cooperation for reconstructing Afghanistan is a priority, and described as vital the role of two great nations of Iran and Pakistan, who suffered a lot due to instability in Afghanistan, in the reconstruction process.
He underlined Iran's readiness to help reconstruct Afghanistan in collaboration with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
For his part, Arsala lauded Iran's role in restoration of stability and security in Afghanistan and called for further effective presence of Iran in his country's reconstruction process.
Minister of Economy and Finance Tahmasb Mazaheri was also present at the meeting.
