Moscow, Jan 20, IRNA -- Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi has stressed the importance of Tehran-Moscow cooperation in regional affairs.
"Restoration of peace, tranquility and security in Tajikistan is regarded as a sign of Iran-Russia efforts to safeguard the stability and security in the region," Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said in an interview with the Russian RIA-Novosti news agency on Monday.
The foreign minister also expressed hope that the two sides' consultations on regional security issues will help strengthen bilateral ties in all areas.
He further reiterated that Moscow plays a key role in establishing security in the Central Asia and Caucasus as well as political, economic and cultural developments in the region.
