Tehran, Aug 20, IRNA -- Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Hassan Rowhani said that Washington will retreat from its anti-Iran rhetoric when it sees national unity and prevalence of the culture of sacrifice in Iranian society.
In a meeting with Iranian ambassadors missioned abroad, Rowhani said that the culture of resistance the Iranian nation displayed throughout the eight-year imposed war is the key to national dignity and strength.

He said that Israel and the Zionists are wielding influence over US policy-making centers and have drawn up a new strategy to create chaos in Iran. The strategy envisages psychological war and propaganda campaign to misportray Iranian system of government as 'inadequate', he said.

He said that Israel and the Zionists are wielding influence over US policy-making centers and have drawn up a new strategy to create chaos in Iran. The strategy envisages psychological war and propaganda campaign to misportray Iranian system of government as 'inadequate', he said.
Elaborating on Washington's anti-Iran approach, Rowhani said that Washington extended D'Amato sanctions, exerted pressure on Europe, Central Asia, Caucasian states, China and Russia to withdraw their cooperation with Iran and has blocked the Iranian financial reserves in US banks all of which aim to undermine the Iranian government.
He said that Washington has embarked on conspiracy to insinuate the youth to stage riots and create an atmosphere in which the government (be) involved in domestic unrest, on one hand, and portray the Iranian government as 'inadequate', on the other.
He called for reconciliation among the political groups and advancing the government's agenda of promoting democracy and encouraging the youth to take part in the political structure of the country through democratic procedure.
He said that the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States has brought about a new situation at the global level which left impacts on Iranian national security.
He said that Iran has always been exposed to US threats adding that the current administration in Washington in belligerent and its economy depends on promoting its military industry.
Rowhani said that the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States has been a means to incite Israel to follow up its anti-Iran ambitions.
Both the US and Israel have reached a deadlock in the Middle East, Rowhani said, adding that the situation in the Middle East is worsening every day since Ariel Sharon took office.
