Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi in Tripoli on Tuesday held talks with Libyan Foreign Minister Abdul Rahman Mohammad Chalgam on economic, industrial cooperation and bilateral issues.
The two foreign ministers expressed pleasure with the growing trend in Tehran-Tripoli relations and active approach of the Chambers of Commerce to develop cooperation in infrastructural, industrial and economic areas.
Abdul Rahman welcomed active presence of the Iranian firms in carrying out Libyan development projects and said that Libya is interested in Iranian technological know-how.
The two sides exchanged views on signing an accord on banking and financial issues and holding the upcoming joint economic commission.
Kharrazi and Abdul Rahman expressed concern about the continued crimes being perpetrated by the Zionist regime against Palestinians and said that the plight of Palestine is the number one problem of the Muslim World.
They called for resolving the Iraqi crisis without resort to war and bloodshed.
Heading a ranking diplomatic and economic delegation, Kharrazi arrived in Tripoli last night at the invitation of his Libyan counterpart.
