Kharrazi confers with Libyan leader |

Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi in Tripoli on Tuesday held talks with Libya leader Mouammar Qaddafi on bilateral issues and the problems of the Muslim World. President Qaddafi expressed pleasure with expansion of relations between the two countries and said that the Muslim world is aware of the endeavors being made by Iranian leadership and president in line with the interest of the Muslim World. He said that Libya is keen on developing political and economic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and utilizing Iranian capabilities for national development. He said that the world arrogance has embarked on confronting Islam and the Islamic nations should shed their indifference to the threats posed to Islam. Kharrazi said that Iran is ready to share its experience in the economic and industrial sectors with Libya adding that Iran has developed useful cooperation with the Islamic nations and the African countries including Libya. He said that the Islamic nations have faced serious challenges of which the enemies are taking maximum advantage. He said that the Muslims in Central Asia and Libya have advantages which they should share with one another. "Muslim states should not allow the world arrogance and the Zionists to target their independence. They are expected to avoid differences and exercise unity to help solve the problems of the Muslims in the world and above all that of the Palestine," he said. |
