Tehran, Oct 16, IRNA -- Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ahma Masjed Jamei said on Tuesday that the most important goal of the International Forum of News Agencies -Coalition for Peace is contribution to transparent dissemination of news and prevention of tensions among nations.
Speaking to Pupils' Association of News Agency (PANA) on the sidelines of the Forum, he said "I hope the Forum creates the grounds for peace, although this goal is not expected to be realized in short term."
"We are determined to introuduce the Forum as a basic institution", said the minister.
He put forward a proposal to grant the world peace award to the news agencies which are most active in the field of international peace and understanding.
To implement the issue of "Dialogue among Civilizations, we should welcome different viewspoints on issues of interest," he said.
Globalization can only be materialized through collaboration of all groups and countries concerning regional and international issues, said the minister.
