Tehran, Feb 17, Itar-Tass/ACSNA/IRNA -- Iran believes that the region should be free from weapons of mass destruction and is not developing a nuclear arms program, Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi explicitly said on Sunday.
But, he said, the country has atomic energy scientists and experts and is proud of their achievements.
All the activities of Iran in the sphere of nuclear technology are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) especially because Iran has signed the pertinent agreements and is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the minister said.
