Zarif urges UN Security Council to stop Israeli state terrorism

 
 

 

 
 

Tehran, March 11, IRNA -- Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday expressed deep concern about the Zionist regime's heavy military action against the defenseless Palestinians describing it as Israeli state terrorism.
      In a meeting with Tehran-based ambassadors of the states membering the United Nations Security Council, Zarif explained Iran's views about the developments in Palestine.

 
 

       He said that situation in Palestine is alarming and the Zionist regime has intensified violation of human rights in Palestine.
      Zarif called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council to stop the Israeli violence against Palestinians and support their rights.
      He said that Israeli is misusing the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States by intensifying its military crackdown on defenseless Palestinians.
      He urged the international community to exercise vigilance to save the civilians living in the occupied territories and said that the practices being pursued by the former defense minister Ariel Sharon has exacerbated the situation in the Middle East.
