Kharrazi, Kuwaiti FM hold second round of talks |

Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamal Kharrazi and his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah here on Sunday in their second round of talks, discussed the latest regional political and security developments. A report released by the media department of the Foreign Ministry said that the disastrous events in the occupied Palestine was discussed by the two ministers. They condemned the atrocities of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and called for multilateral support of the global community and international institutions for the Palestinian people. Kharrazi briefed the Kuwaiti minister on Iran's position on the consequences of the probable US military attack on Iraq and its detrimental impact for regional states and their inhabitants. He underlined the need for regional states to attempt to find peaceful solutions to overcome the current critical situation. At the meeting, Sheikh Sabah al-Sabah referring to the significance of the ongoing negotiations, stressed the political determination of Kuwait to broaden Iran-Kuwait ties in all fields of mutual interest. He hoped for further expansion of cooperation between the two states in the current critical situation. Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad as Sabah arrived here Saturday to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments. |
