Tehran, June 10, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and his British counterpart Jack Straw in a phone conversation Monday discussed several regional developments including the Indo-Pak tension.
Kharrazi recalled his talks with Indian and Pakistani officials, and briefed Straw on Iran's efforts to decrease tension in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister further called on all countries of the region to join hands to resolve the Indo-Pak conflict.
He proposed that a mechanism be developed with the help of regional countries to reinforce confidence between Indian and Pakistan through different ways including supervising border activities.
Kharrazi and Straw also exchanged views on the developments in Afghanistan and the formation of the new Afghan government.
