Tehran, March 10, IRNA -- Government spokesman Abdullah Ramezanzadeh in a press conference here on Sunday declared that the Islamic Republic bases its overall policies on the three principles of dignity, national interest and wisdom, which have a pivotal role in  shaping Iran's foreign policy.
He rejected claims that Iran has adopted an inactive approach to the peace initiative put forward by the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, stressing, "Iran will make its stance known at the proper time".
Tehran, he said, will declare its stance on world issues as the need arises and they have nothing to do with its stance being inactive or hostile.
The Iranian government spokesman reiterated that Iran views Saudi Prince Abdullah's peace plan for the Middle East crisis as part of his efforts to secure what is good for the Muslim world.
"The important thing is that Tehran supports any measure to establish a just peace in the Middle East and to materialize the demands of the Palestinians," he said.
