     Tehran, March 10, IRNA -- President Mohammad Khatami said on Sunday that war is not a solution to problems and dialogue is the only way out of war.
     In a meeting with Bosnian Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija, President Khatami said that the Bosnian nation has experienced a bitter war and genocide and therefore they undestand the meaning of peace and justice.
     President Khatami said that Bosnia has diverse cultures and ethnic groups which is an appropriate place to promote dialogue of civilizations.
     The president underlined the necessity of respecting the nations and governments as well as giving way to logic in a bid to remove violence, war and intransigence.
     The Iranian president said that the United States has been involved in the worst kind of war and engineering military coup as  well as supporting the despotic regimes.
     "Iran is accused as forming part of the axis of evil at a time when Iran is the harbinger of peace. The history will judge on who promoted dialogue of civilizations and who promoted violence," President Khatami pointed out.
     He said that campaign against violence, terrorism and promoting peace and social development is the top priority of his government democratically elected by the Iranian nation adding that the great American nation like the American intellectuals will condemn the US administration's anti-Iran policy and will invite their administration to peace and security.
     The president said that the intellectuals and scholars are supporters of the theory of dialogue of civilizations adding that  the trend (call for dialogue) will proceed along with the history. 
     President Khatmi said Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina share common views about the international developments and called for boosting of political, cultural and economic cooperation between the two  countries.
     Lagumdzija said that his country is willing to develop bilateral cooperation with Iran in all areas. He called for activation of private sectors of the two countries in light of the large capacity that exist to boost trade and economic cooperation.
     The Bosnian foreign minister said that his country supports President Khatami's idea of promoting dialogue of civilizations at international level adding that Bosnia-Herzegovina is keen to upgrade bilateral and regional cooperation on the basis of mutual respect.
