Tehran, July 8, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi here Monday rejected as 'totally false' reports that four members of the Iranian Ministry of Information had sought political asylum in Denmark.
Asefi reiterated that based on concrete information the reports on asylum seeking are not true.
He stressed that the reports aimed to mar Iran-EU positive and developing relations considering that Denmark is EU president.
Also in related news, the government spokesman Abdullah Ramezanzadeh had earlier in June rejected that four members of Iran's Ministry of Information had been arrested in Denmark on charges of espionage.
