Tehran, May 5, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said here on Sunday that Washington has never taken an impartial stand regarding the Middle East crisis.
In a meeting with the visiting Lebanese Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh, the Iranian foreign minister called on the European Union (EU), the United Nations and Russia to take measures to help end the Zionist attacks on the innocent Palestinian nation.
Referring to the tri-partite consultations among Lebanon, Syria and Iran as positive, he termed current efforts toward a peace settlement between Palestinian and Zionist regime officials as vain.
As to the cultural and historical bonds between the Iranian and Lebanese nations, Kharrazi expressed his satisfaction with the current level of Tehran-Beirut relations.
Iran and Lebanon share identical views on several international developments, he reiterated.
He expressed the hope that the two countries would make use of their existing potentials to further their bilateral cultural ties.
For his part, the Lebanese minister voiced his government's interest to bolster all-out ties, particularly cultural cooperation, with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He also praised Tehran's stances on the Palestinian developments and the country's support for the resistance movement of the Palestinian nation.
