Tehran, April 3, IRNA -- Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ahmad Masjed Jamei on Wednesday condemned the Israeli military attacks against Palestinian towns and described it as the worst kind of terrorism. Masjed Jamei who attended the Palestine embassy in Tehran expressed regret that big powers backing the Zionist regime are promoting the culture of terror at the global level. "If the big powers backing the Zionist regime had not favored promoting the culture of terror, the Zionist regime would not have dared to trample upon the humanitarian and ethical principles to the extent that it does in dealing with the defenseless Palestinians," he said. He referred to the Zionist regime's military attacks against residential areas, mosques, and churches and massacring the civilians as well as preventing those injured from being hospitalized as examples of the Israeli violence in the occupied territories. Masjed Jamei called on the mass media throughout the world to disclose the culture of terror being promoted by certain states, on the one hand, and the fact that Palestine belongs to Palestinians who should take their rights, on the other. He hoped that the oppressed people of Palestine would reach their rights thanks to their liberation campaign against the Zionist regime. Palestine Ambassador to Iran Salah Zawawi said that the Palestinians are defenseless and if they had arms, they would have defended their towns. "If we had arms, the Zionist military could not have invaded our towns, killing the defenseless civilians," the ambassador said. He called on the Muslim World to extend humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians. Foreign ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in their three-day meeting which ended on April 3, condemned Israeli crackdown against Palestinians as Israeli state terrorism. |
