Tehran, Dec 4, IRNA -- President Mohammad Khatami said here on Wednesday that the only solution to the Iran-US relations is that the one who has done injustice to the other changes its policy and behaviour.
Addressing over 40 domestic and foreign reporters, he stressed that the detente policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran embraces all countries throughout the globe.
Referring to Tehran-Washington ties during the past 50 years, the Iranian president noted that during the past half a century, Iran has always been suppressed by Washington. The rights of the Iranian nation have been violated during the period, he added.
Tehran is interested in witnessing a change in the US policy and behaviour, he said, regretting that the policy of Washington during the rule of the current extremist faction, whose policies threaten all world countries, are unpredictable.
