          Tehran, Nov 4, IRNA -- President Mohammad Khatami here on Monday called on the American nation to make their government change its incorrect policy which has hurt the feelings of a large number of people throughout the world.
        Addressing a group of Air Force commanders on the occasion of Aban 13, he said the US public opinion should seek to know the reasons behind international developments.
        Terming the US policy as a reason behind world developments, the Iranian president stressed that the US politicians should be compelled to change their policies towards other countries.
        Referring to Aban 13, when the Iranian nation showed its wrath towards Washington's incorrect and interventionist policies by its youth, he said the Iranian people was not willing to hurt the feelings of the American nation by taking over the former US embassy in Tehran.
        By doing so, the Iranians tried to express their dissatisfaction with the incorrect policies of Washington which had been followed in Iran during a quarter of century, the president noted.
        Today, Aban 13 (November 4) marks three important events in Iran including the anniversary of the takeover of the former US embassy in Tehran by the Muslim Students Following the Imam's Line (1979).
