Tehran, Sept 4, IRNA - Government spokesman Abdullah Ramezanzadeh said here on Wednesday that government is soon to submit a bill on the campaign against money laundering to the Parliament.
Ramezanzadeh said in his weekly press briefing that the bill is in the final stage of compilation at the Joint Economy and Government Bill Commission, aiming to fight extensive financial corruption.
He said providing security for investment and production will be a great help for economic rehabilitation and reforms.
He blamed interference in managerial affairs as the key factor causing insecurity in the administrative sector.
The spokesman said that cabinet had in its recent meeting authorized the Energy Ministry to enter into contracts with private energy producers, both Iranian and foreign, to meet part of the national electricity shortage.
If the Iranian energy producer has a foreign partner, the contract will be both in rials and foreign currency but if the producer is only Iranian, the contract would be only in rial, said the official.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ramezanzadeh said the Fourth Five-Year Economic Development Plan will focus on improving the lot of the women.
He said the possibility of the budget deficit this year does not seem remote.
He added that the bill on presidential powers will be presented to the Majlis after the legislature's two-week summer recess.
Meanwhile, Ramezanzadeh cautioned Iraqi officials of attributing Iraq's own problems to others. "Iraqi officials should not respond our good intentions in this way," said the official when asked to comment on recent claims of Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan against Iran.
He said it seems that Iraqi officials suffer mixed suspicion.
He added that Iraqi officials' attitude on political issues and  international developments worsens -- something which will aggravate the sufferings of the Iraqi people.
Ramadan had recently accused Iranians of always allying themselves with Zionists against the Arab world.
