Tehran, March 2, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi here on Saturday expressed outrage against the attack launched by the Zionist regime's occupying forces on the defenceless people in Balata and Ayedah refugee camps in the West bank.
Asefi condemned the 'brutal' actions of the Zionist regime in killing 13 Palestinians. He said continuation of the Israeli regime's crimes indicates its total failure to stand the popular resistance of Palestine.
He added the Zionist regime's actions and slogans for restoration of peace are pretentious and repetitive.
The official said continuation of the Israeli regime's aggressive and ambitious measures in denying the Palestinian people of their rights is based on the entity's racist policies.
Asefi stressed that by its actions, the Zionist regime is out to to escalate tension and spread crisis in the region.
He blasted the war-mongering attitude of the Israeli regime's rulers and said the entity's function runs counter to any efforts for peace.
He termed as 'highly important' the role of the international community, the United Nations in particular, to stop the Zionist regime's crimes in the occupied lands.
Asefi said immediate and strong worldwide reaction, especially by the United Nations, against the ongoing and 'unjustifiable' strategy in the Palestinian occupied lands is an effective factor to halt the growing crimes and pressures on the Palestinian nation.
