Visa
An Iranian Visa is a permission of entry into Iran for a limited period of time. This is issued to foreign national, by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, upon receiving approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.
The following sections detail comprehensive information about various types Iranian visas, the legal procedure and the required documentation for each type of visa.
Opening Hours: The visa section is open weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 12:30 to 4 pm.
Please note that it is only possible to process a limited number of visa applications each day. We therefore strongly recommend that applicants arrive soon after the opening time 12:30. In the event of a large number of applicants presenting on the same day, when it would not be possible to process all applications, the visa section reserves the right to discontinue serving the remaining applicants.
Important Notice:
There will be a fine 0f 300000 Rials (approximately £19) for each extra day of overstaying beyond the authorised visa period.
