Some of your reports, articles and comments in the past few weeks related to our country have been misleading as they portray Iran as a menace that must be urgently dealt with.
It is astonishing that a Saudi newspaper is explicitly interfering in the domestic affairs of our country, raising false and baseless allegations.
The views stated by various contributors are propaganda aimed at affecting the Arab world public opinion against Iran as a pillar of stability in the region. Most notably, your recent interviews with heads of the terrorist grouplet MKO – with more than thirty years of atrocities and terrorist acts and numerous crimes in Iran and Iraq – is not acceptable.
Holding interviews and resorting to terrorist groups with a blatant background in killing innocent children and women are not but efforts to spread propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
We recommend that the newspaper pay attention to realities and people’s aspirations instead of harbouring lies as well as terrorist and destructive groups’allegations ,including MKO and avoid smearing others and creating a rift between Muslims . There is no doubt the policy of divide and rule and creating Iranophobia, which has been recently adopted by that newspaper, will not be fruitful and is doomed to fail.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in London reserves the right of having the opportunity to provide the appropriate responses to all the hostile and baseless allegations to be published in your newspaper given as much coverage as was accorded to the original articles.
