Foreign Ministry on Saturday held the US Administration responsible for escalating tension and distorting the international security by propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Foreign Ministry in a statement that documenting an allegation on a US citizen who lives in the United States for 16 years and his liaison with a Mexican drug cartel have no legal validity and can only be regarded as propaganda campaign and comedy show.
“According to international conventions, first of all any accusation against individuals or nationals of a country must be communicated with the respective government to seek explanation, but, despite the request made by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the US Administration has taken no step to clarify evidences about the allegation, giving support to the idea that the US Administration has embarked on a ridiculous scenario to the extent that the international observers are laughing at,” the statement said.
