He has to stay indoors between 8pm and 6am, he wears and electronic tag, and the restrictions placed on him by the British authorities mean that he can´t work or study.
It´s a spectacular fall from grace for a man who used to be Iran´s ambassador to Jordan and who held a string of high level jobs in the Iranian government.
Tajik lives - and is confined to - the beautiful northern English city of Durham. But he says it´s impossible for him to enjoy the surroundings when he´s banned from leaving them.
The former Iranian diplomat stands accused of breaking a US arms embargo law by trying to import night vision goggles to Iran.
Following a sting operation by US agents, he was arrested by the British authorities in 2006 while studying at university. He then spent a week in prison before being released under extremely restrictive bail conditions.
Subsequently a court declared that he could be extradited to the United States but, several years later, he´s still awaiting the Home Secretary´s final decision.
Press TV approached the Home Office with detailed questions about Nosratollah´s case but they only sent us a one sentence reply.
A Home Office spoksperson said: "The Home Secretary is considering whether Mr Tajik´s medical condition is so serious that extradition would breach his human rights."
As for Tajik, he says he´s become a political pawn for the British and American authorities in their crusade against the Islamic Republic.
And he insists that he´ll die on the plane or in prison if he´s sent to the United States, so he believes the British home secretary should release him on compassionate grounds.
