Iran´s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast says Tehran will strongly confront any interference by foreign countries in its internal affairs.
Mehmanparast made the remarks during a press conference in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on Sunday, saying, “We will not accept any country´s interference in our internal affairs... all the countries should respect other nations´ rights,” IRNA reported.
He added that the Islamic Awakening in the Middle East and North Africa are inspired by the Islamic Revolution of Iran and Iranians´ resistance.
The US and Israel consider the Islamic Awakening as a big threat, and try to stop or slow down the Islamic Awakening in the region and the world.
Mehmanparast went on to say that plots hatched by the US and Israel against Iran have failed to yield the intended effect, noting that US and its allies face serious problems and crises now.
Earlier in September, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that as long as the interference of foreign countries continues in the region terrorism cannot be uprooted.
End.
