The spokesman noted that Iran has repeatedly stressed so far that it believes the Syrian government and people are mature enough in political and social terms to handle their own affairs and solve their problems.
So, he added, the Islamic Republic of Iran, while respecting the authority of the countries, categorically rejects as lies allegations of playing any role in the Syrian internal affairs.
Mehmanparast further expressed regret that the EU was resorting to double-standard attitudes regarding the developments in the region and was trying to divert the world public opinion from human rights violations undertaken by its puppet regimes.
