Mild quake jolts southeastern district

Iran-Yazd-Quake
A mild quake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit the district of Saghand in Yazd province on Tuesday.

The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of
Tehran University registered the quake at 13:06 hours local time (09:36 GMT).

The tremor was epicentered in an area measuring 55.39 degrees in longitude and 32.58 degrees in latitude, the report added.

There are no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.

Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world’s most active seismic faultlines.
