Ministry of Culture condemns Denmark’s repeat of sacrilege on holy Prophet (PBUH)

Iran-Ministry-Condemnation
The Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Tuesday strongly condemened Denmark’s repeat of sacrilege on the holy Prophet (PBUH) of Islam.

In a statement, a copy of which was sent to IRNA, the ministry denounced a video lampooning Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) produced by a far-right Danish party screened on Danish public television.

Denmark’s TV2 channel last month screened excerpts from a video made by members of the extreme-right Danish People’s Party which portrayed Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) in bad light.

"The world’s arrogant powers have come up with a concerted plan to destroy the true image of Islam around the world," said the statement, which recalled the global protests aroused last year after the publication of blasphemous cartoons of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by a Danish newspaper as well as last month’s insulting statements of Pope Benedict XVI against Islam and the Prophet (PBUH).

Those reprehensible acts point to the weakness of enemies of Islam who are threatened by the growing ranks of Muslim believers, said the statement.

It called on world Muslims to foil enemies’ conspiracies to sow discord among Muslims by reenforcing their unity especially during this holy month of Ramadan.

Blasting the Danish TV’s deliberate act of ridiculing the Muslim faith, the statement said giving an apology to the world’s Muslims is the least that the Danish government can do to temper their righteous indignation.
