Why documents need to be legalised?

Many foreign countries require legalisation of the signatures or seals of British public officials, such as Solicitors, Notaries Public, Registrars, Officials of Chambers of Commerce on certain documents which originate in the United Kingdom before those documents can be accepted overseas. To legalise a document, we will attach an apostille or legalisation certificate.

If you are not sure what documents you need to legalise, you should contact the Embassy or High Commission of the country concerned.
